TBSP Advances AI-Powered Retail Innovation with Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL), Driving Smart Stores
Partners with Wonder AI to Expand into Other Industries

TBSP Public Company Limited (TBSP) is advancing its technology capabilities and business solutions through a collaboration with Wonder AI Co., Ltd., provider of the Wonder AI system, to develop and expand Smart Retail solutions for the retail sector. Leveraging TBSP’s strengths in Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) and System Integration expertise, the collaboration aims to integrate AI systems with customers’ existing technologies and infrastructure. The initiative will initially focus on the retail sector before expanding to a wide range of industries, supporting businesses and consumers in adapting to an increasingly borderless AI era.

Mr. Wilert Orawanwong, Chief Executive Officer of TBSP Public Company Limited (TBSP), a leading international provider of plastic card manufacturing and high-security printing solutions, with a strategic direction toward becoming a “Tech-Driven Manufacturing Platform,” said that TBSP’s involvement in developing solutions with Wonder AI marks another important step in leveraging its technology expertise and system integration capabilities to address the needs of organizations adapting to the Digital and AI era. This is particularly relevant to the highly competitive retail sector, where businesses seek to leverage data to improve store management efficiency, reduce costs, and create better experiences for consumers.

One of TBSP’s key strengths is Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) technology, which enables businesses to manage prices, promotions, and product information at the shelf quickly and accurately. It reduces the steps involved in traditional price tag changes and enables in-store information to be updated more efficiently in line with marketing strategies and business situations. When ESL works together with data and analytics from Wonder AI, it can further enhance the agility of store management, from understanding customer traffic, peak visiting periods, and customer movement paths to analyzing product interests and the performance of sales areas and promotions. This information can be used to support planning for pricing, promotions, product placement, and the management of in-store space.

At the same time, TBSP plays an important role in System Integration, enabling Wonder AI to work seamlessly with customers’ existing technologies and systems. This helps reduce limitations in adopting new technologies and enhances flexibility in deploying and scaling the system from pilot branches to multiple branches in the future.

Mr. Wilert said, “The key to adopting AI in the business sector is not simply having AI technology, but ensuring that AI can effectively connect with an organization’s existing systems and actual business processes. TBSP therefore brings its expertise in Electronic Shelf Labels and System Integration into the ecosystem, connecting data, analytics, and the practical application of insights at the store level to work together in a systematic manner.”

The collaboration will initially focus on retail businesses with physical stores and multiple branches, including supermarkets, convenience stores, specialty retailers, health and beauty stores, and shopping malls. These businesses generate significant amounts of operational data and continuously seek to improve the efficiency of space management, promotions, products, and workforce management. Wonder AI will help transform visual data from existing CCTV cameras into actionable business insights by analyzing customer traffic, peak service periods, customer movement paths, areas or products that attract customers’ attention, shopping decision times, as well as various behaviors within the premises. These insights can then be used to support decision-making by executives and store managers.

Mr. Vorakrit Chaisathaporn, Chief Executive Officer of Wonder AI Co., Ltd., said that Wonder AI is developing its system to go beyond visual analytics technology, with a focus on becoming a Business Solution that enables businesses to effectively leverage data from physical locations to support decision-making. The company also aims to further develop its Wonder Insight system into an AI Store Manager, serving as an intelligent assistant for store managers in the future.

“Having TBSP as a partner will help complete the Smart Retail ecosystem, particularly through its capabilities in ESL and System Integration, which are essential for connecting AI-analyzed data with customers’ actual systems and operations. This will enable the technology to be implemented in a practical manner and support greater scalability at the enterprise level,” said Mr. Vorakrit.

In terms of market development, the collaboration will initially focus on building case studies with retail businesses through Proof of Concept (POC) projects and pilot projects to demonstrate business outcomes before expanding into commercial applications and scaling from pilot branches to multi-branch networks. In addition, the collaboration between TBSP and Wonder AI has the potential to expand into other industries with large numbers of customer-facing areas, employees, or users, including restaurants, cafés, showrooms, hospitals, clinics, banks, airports, transportation terminals, educational institutions, office buildings, factories, and warehouses. AI can be applied to analyze space utilization, the number of customers or service users, waiting times, peak usage periods, and operational efficiency in ways that align with the objectives of each organization.

Mr. Wilert concluded, “TBSP believes that AI will become an integral part of business operations in the future. However, its true value will be realized when AI can effectively connect with an organization’s existing systems, data, and business processes. Our collaboration with Wonder AI is therefore another step in leveraging TBSP’s capabilities in both ESL and System Integration to create solutions that address customers’ needs, from the retail sector to other industries, while supporting the growth of Thai businesses in an increasingly borderless AI era.”
